My work involves a variety of materials and mediums. Strong interests reside in the unknown, the non descriptive, spaces in between the grey areas of life that do not fold into any one category. Beginning with the process of painting itself my work is concerned with reinvention by surrender to the process, it is an ever-present event in perceiving. Incongruous materials introduce a dynamic of chance outcome, working with encaustic engages unlikely relationships, the interaction reshaping each surface and space.
The abstract forms collapse categorical distinctions and suspend meaning creating space for personal interpretation. The work is a proposition of associations.
